In 2015 Oasis began the process of establishing a long-term home after over a decade of being a portable church. Today we are thankful to have realized that vision with our facility at 940 Elmhurst Road in Winnipeg.

This page outlines what our the process that brought us here and how you can be apart of this legacy in our community for years to come.

For too long the Church has been known for what it's against.

We want to be known for what we are for.

We are for families.

We are for kids.

We are for students.

We are for single adults and married couples.

We are for anyone who walks through our doors. Everything we do is to lead people towards a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

We are FOR WINNIPEG!

Fulfill your pledge

We continue to accept donations towards our For Winnipeg campaign! The realization of a permanent home for Oasis has seen perhaps the greatest season of spiritual growth in the history of our church. You still have the opportunity to be apart of that by giving today!

Vision

Vision

While churches are certainly not defined by their buildings, they do need a place to call home; a place to nurture, encourage, and grow.

After years of searching, God led us to 7.4 acres less than five minutes away from Charleswood School (where we met for 11 1/2 years). 940 Elmhurst Road is located at the tip of Winnipeg’s newest community, Ridgewood South, where an additional 7,900 residents will join the rest of Charleswood in the coming years. This building is centrally located for our congregation and well-positioned for future families to join us.

We worked with local and international designers to plan an expandable facility that will serve us both now and for years to come. Phase one included building and renovating over 45,000 sq ft, creating a 1,000 seat auditorium, lobby and common spaces, as well as a multi-use portion that is used for students, children, and office space. Future phases will allow us to build a complete Children’s environment, further lobby and common spaces as well as expand the auditorium to 1,500 seats.

Your Role

Your Role

Some of Apostle Peter’s final recorded words to the early Church were, “What kind of people ought you to be?” (2 Peter 3:11). He’s asking, when we come to the end of our days, what should we be remembered for? Will we be known as a people who trusted in God, who persevered through struggle, and who held on to hope? He is asking those early followers of Jesus, and He’s asking us too.

As we enter into this new chapter of our story, our hope is that you will fully engage with God and with our church during this time. Three words capture the process we are asking you to go through: SURRENDER, LISTEN, and OBEY.

Our challenge to you is:

  • Pray a bold prayer: “God, what role would you have me play in our church’s future?”

  • Be willing to SURRENDER to God’s will.

  • Make space to hear from God. LISTEN to what He has to say to you.

  • Respond and fully OBEY whatever God asks of you.

This is a three-year process with the goal of raising $4 million. For the next three years, we are asking you to be committed and faitful above and beyond your usual tithe. Generosity shapes our character and changes who we are.

It’s our hope that many years from now, you are still telling the story of the role God had you play in the building of His Church.
