The holidays can be a difficult time for many, and so each December at Oasis, we want to let our community know we are "FOR" them, and that we're here to help. We make this known through our generosity! During this season, we will be supporting our community through some practical donations.

Westdale Food Bank

Westdale Food Bank

With the cost of basic necessities at an all-time high, food bank usage continues to rise in Canada, including right here in Winnipeg. Westdale Food bank is a part of the Westgrove Family Resource Center, providing basic food necessities, services, and community programming to residents in our neighborhood of southwest Winnipeg throughout the year.

Most Needed Items

  • fruit cups

  • canned pasta

  • cereal

  • peanut butter/jam

  • granola bars/cookies

  • other non-perishable food and household items

Family Support Centre

Family Support Centre

Formerly “Crisis Pregnancy Center,” Family Support Centre provides crisis, grief, and relationship counseling and support to women, men, infants, and families in Winnipeg and around Manitoba.

Most Needed Items

  • baby formula – Enfamil brand powder is preferred

  • diapers – size large or size 1 are most needed

  • baby clothing up to size 2

  • Christmas gifts for babies and kids up to age 10

  • Christmas gifts for moms

ICYA/Dignity House

Inner City Youth Alive

Inner City Youth Alive’s mission is to bring hope and a future through Christ to youth and their families in the inner city by offering year-round quality programs and engaging in relationship with the community. Every year ICYA hosts 450+ North End community members for a Christmas Party. A highlight of the evening are the hampers provided to families in need.

Most Needed Items

  • Family Games

    • all types and ages

  • Household items

    • tin foil/saran wrap, dish soap, laundry detergent, Ziploc bags and containers, tea towels

  • hygiene items for kids and adults

  • outdoor wear and underwear

    • toques, mitts/gloves, scarves, socks, underwear

Dignity House

Dignity House provides transitional housing and recovery programs for women overcoming complex trauma, human trafficking, sexual exploitation, abuse, and addiction. Their vision is to provide a safe haven for these women, fostering hope and a pathway to rebuilding their lives.

Most Needed Items

  • warm clothes

    • socks, mitts/gloves, toques, one size fits all sweaters

  • hygiene products for women

    • feminine hygiene, body wash, deodorant

  • household items

    • hand soap, paper towel/toilet paper, liquid laundry soap, Kleenex, cleaning wipes

  • sheet sets

    • twin and double

  • towel sets
